Protecting Property Rights and Homeownership
Real estate is more than buying and selling homes — it is also about protecting the policies and property rights that allow families to own and invest in real estate.
Throughout my career, I have supported advocacy efforts through the National Association of Realtors and the Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC). These organizations work to ensure that legislation supports homeowners, real estate professionals, and a healthy housing market.
My involvement in industry leadership and advocacy reflects my belief that strong housing policy benefits not only the real estate profession, but also the communities we serve.
Today I continue to support policies that protect homeowners and property rights across the real estate industry while serving buyers and sellers throughout Denton County, Texas and the surrounding communities of Lantana, Texas, Argyle, Texas, and Flower Mound, Texas.
REALTORS® PAC works hard to ensure a positive legislative and regulatory environment for HOMEOWNERS and REALTORS. It is effective because it works with all parties to enact legislation that protect the homeowners, the economy, property rights and the real estate industry. Below you will find some of the legislative victories that speak volumes to the impact of NC REALTORS® PAC.
At Work for My Clients
Local Realtor® Recognized Nationally for Protecting, Investing in Real Estate Industry. The National Association of Realtors® has announced that Geena Fie, a Realtor® from Rock Hill, SC, has become a Sterling R investor in the Realtors® Political Action Committee. RPAC is a national bipartisan grassroots-based political advocacy organization that works to protect the real estate industry and the dream of homeownership for Greater Charlotte Area residents and across the country.
Fie has supported RPAC as a Sterling R investor for 8 years and has been a member of the National Association of Realtors® since 2004. She holds several certifications including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), graduated from Morehead State University, and lives in Rock Hill, SC with her husband and two Italian Greyhounds. Fie has been active in leadership with the local, state and national association including being the 2022/2023 Canopy Realtor Association Treasurer.
“I support RPAC because doing so is important to my profession and especially more important for my clients,” said Fie.
Since 1969, RPAC has promoted the election of pro-real estate candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is to elect officials who understand and support the interests of real estate professionals and their home buying, selling and investing clients. RPAC uses its resources to seek to elect candidates that understand and support real estate, and to develop public policies that allow consumers to own homes and build their communities through commercial investment. Fie’s investment will be applied to supporting homeownership, commercial real estate transactions, and the very future of the real estate industry.
The National Association of Realtors®, “The Voice for Real Estate,” is America’s largest trade association, representing 1.5 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
Earlier in my career while serving clients in the Carolinas, I was also actively involved in Realtor® advocacy efforts supporting policies that protected homeowners, property rights, and responsible housing development. These efforts included supporting legislation that benefited buyers, sellers, and property owners across the region.NC REALTORS® PAC is effective because we work across party lines to enact legislation that protects the real estate, homeowners, the economy, and property rights.
Thanks to investors, NC REALTORS® has had numerous successful advocacy years on essential topics that impact buyers and sellers, business, and industry. Check out just some of our wins over the past 10+ years!

2024 NC REALTORS® Plan of Action
Continue addressing housing needs in North Carolina demand immediate attention and sound policy to address the lack of housing availability, especially workforce housing. Population growth is exceeding housing production, which is increasing the cost of homes, outpacing salary and inflation increases.
Property owners should not face restrictions on who they are allowed to rent their property to. Local governments should not regulate or place restrictions that limit the duration or location of short term rentals.
While these initiatives occurred earlier in my career in the Carolinas, my commitment to protecting property rights and supporting strong housing markets continues today as I serve clients throughout Denton County, Texas and surrounding communities including Lantana, Texas and Argyle, Texas.
